Bali does luxury like no others. If you want to go all out and pamper yourself to the fullest, you have come to the right destination. From a fancy hotel with its amazing beach club and spa to a villa with your own private pool, a butler and a driver. The problem is only one thing, which option should you choose? Overwhelmed with the options, I decided to try three different types of accommodation. Those were a spa hotel, a villa with infinity pool and a villa with a private pool. While a stay at spa hotel was really nice,  staying in a villa is a way to go for a full experience of Bali.

When you plan it well, luxury vacation in Bali is a memory you will never forget. Whether you visit Bali for honeymoon, anniversary, solo adventure or family getaway, here are step by step on how to plan a luxury vacation in Bali:

1. The first step in planning a luxury vacation in Bali is to secure a rental car plus a driver.
You don’t want to be bother with driving especially during rush hour. Bali’s traffic can be hectic. If you want to sit and relax then having a driver is a must. If you are a budget conscious travelers, then book an independent driver. Booking through the hotel or villa can be pricey. Remember, booking everything by yourself will definitely save you some money. I found my own driver and booked him through what’s app. Here is his Instagram handle; Adie-Transport-Bali, in case you are looking for a nice driver who speaks English.

2. Pick your own Villa
This is the hard one. Not because Bali has limited expensive villas, instead Bali has thousand and thousand villas that offer different experiences. You have to know what exactly you are looking for. If you want a villa surrounded by lush green landscaped, then pick a villa in Ubud. But if you have been dreaming about villa next to the ocean then pick a villa in Amed, Canggu or Seminyak. Since you already booked a driver and a car, far and remote location shouldn’t be matter. Your ride is at your own convenience. Most villa comes with a butler or a cooking person. So you don’t need to do a thing. Some also offer an outdoor massage or in-room massage.

3. Create your own itinerary
Since you have a driver, now, all you need is a list of things that you want to see or to do. Depending on how long you are staying in Bali, you might want to explore it region by region. To avoid spending too much time on the road, try to group the trip by the location and distance. For example, explore southern Bali such as Jimbaran Beach, Uluwatu, Pandawa beach in one or two days. Then explore central Bali such as Ubud another day. Don’t forget to check out the Bedugul highland in Norther Bali if you have time.

4. Hire a porter at the airport.

Just like many airports in Asia, Bali has porter to hire. If you want a luxury vacation in Bali start right after the airplane hit the ground then hire a porter. A porter will carry all of your luggage from the baggage claim area to your chosen transportation. You don’t even need to lift a finger.
