What do you do if you have 12 hours layover in Stockholm? Should you sit nicely in the airport eating Swedish meatball or should you venture out to the city? I chose the latter option. I couldn’t bear to miss the opportunity to explore this Viking city. Keep in mind before you venture out, Arlanda Airport is far from the city, so plan wisely. Continue reading

Zip Lining in Costa Rica
Dying of wanting to experience the thrill of zip lining over the rain forest, made me flew over 2000 miles to San Jose, Costa Rica. It was my first time in Costa Rica, so I took a guided zip line course. The zip line course took place in the nearest cloud forest from the central valley and in the foot hill of Barva volcano, Heredia. Continue reading
5 Days in Melbourne
No doubt, there’s something between me and Australia, some unspoken bond. From the time I was planning to study there for my graduate school which didn’t happened to the time I was planning to go there for honeymoon which didn’t happen either since I didn’t end up marrying that guy. Then the invitation from one of my college buddy to visit her in Adelaide to another invitation from long lost friend who was studying in Perth, Australia (who would ever guessed?? Sure life is full of surprise). Continue reading
Blue Mountain
Explore the Blue Mountain for a quick experience of Australian wild life and some thrilling rides. Blue Mountain is located two hours away from Sidney. Our first stop is Wentworth falls, we walked thru the rain forest to see the beautiful view. The following stop was Featherdale wild life. I purposely skipped the Sidney zoo because what I had in mind was a close interaction with animals which Featherdale wild life in Blue Mountain has to offer without paying extra fee for a close encounter.
3 Days in Sidney
What’s trip to Sidney without cruising down Parramatta River or a stop at the iconic landmark of Sidney opera house. When I was a kid, I often imagined that someday I would visit the opera house. So on my trip to Sidney, I made sure that I covered everything I wanted to see in 3 days. Even for an optimist, I know that’s a pretty ambitious plan, since Sidney is a big city and offers ton of things to see and to do. Continue reading
Blue Lagoon
What’s the trip to Iceland without a stop at the famous Blue lagoon? On the day of arrival after 5 hours nonstop flight from east coast across Atlantic Ocean, I treated myself for some pampering at the Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon is located between the airport in Keflavik and the city of Reykjavik, so it makes the perfect sense to stop there on the way to/from airport. Continue reading
Chasing Aurora Borealis
You need to meet these conditions when you want to see Aurora Borealis; It has to be dark, the sky has to be clear and definitely you have to be willing to embrace the cold since Aurora borealis can only be seen during the cold months from October to April. I’ve been dreaming about this northern Country natural wonder for years. Finally decided to chase the Aurora borealis aka northern light in Iceland. Continue reading
Getting Lost in Brussels
Every time I think of Belgium, three things come into my mind; Belgian waffle, divine Belgian chocolate and Hercule Poirot. Long before I even planned to visit Belgium, I promised myself that I’m going to try the first two whenever I am in Belgium. Since the last one it’s only fictional character in Agatha Christie’s book, sadly I won’t be able to meet Hercule Poirot. Continue reading
Four days in Phuket
Dreaming of riding an elephant and enjoying the famous Thai massage and fish pedicure, had forced me to book the trip to Phuket despite the travel warning due to some political unrest in Thailand. After much contemplating between Bangkok and Phuket, finally my heart set on Phuket. Continue reading
